Criteria for Admission to Year 13 places available in St Joseph’s Boys’ School
Students wishing to apply for admission to St Joseph’s Year 13 are expected to have:

Achieved
a minimum of 5 GCSE’s or equivalent at Grade C or above.
·
Demonstrated a high level of interest and commitment to their studies.
·
Maintained an excellent school record in the following areas -

Punctuality
§
Attendance
§
Behaviour
·
Completed a successful interview with members of the Senior Leadership Team following the release of their GCSE results in August.
If there are more pupils eligible than there are places available, places shall be awarded in the following order:
1.
Applicants with the highest GCSE score – an applicants score being calculated on the basis of GCSE results as follows:

A* = 6 points
§
A = 5 points
§
B = 4 points
§
C = 3 points
§
D = 2 points
§
E = 1 points
2.
In the event of a tie, priority will be established by computerised random selection as specified in the Admissions Criteria for Year 8.
